The first picture is from a scene in Battleship Potemkin, this piece of art is important because in this film, Sergei Eisenstein showed his audience new film techniques never seen before. The second picture is from the film, A Trip To The Moon. This film by Georges Méliès was one the first films to use amazing never before special effects from its time period. The third picture is from the first film made by the Lumière brothers using their invention the cinématographe.
